Christ Fellowship Church’s mission statement is the following: “We exist to make faithful disciples of Christ by spreading the knowledge of God’s grace for the sake of His name.” We are under no pretense in thinking that we are the only church that is faithfully living out this mission. By God’s grace, we are blessed to be “partners in the gospel” (Phil. 1:5) with other faithful churches here in Bakersfield.
Christ Fellowship in fact owes its existence to a very close partner in the gospel: Crossway Baptist Church. Ever since its beginning, the leaders of Crossway Baptist desired to see other healthy churches planted in Bakersfield. In 2025, the Lord was pleased to raise up several core families from Crossway Baptist to go out and plant Christ Fellowship Church. By God’s grace, we desire to be a faithful church that follows in the footsteps of our sending church as we together follow Christ.

Though we may have some significant differences pertaining to important areas of theology, we thank the Lord for these other local congregations and their commitment to the Word of God and sound doctrine.
